ARAKS X ATTIKI
This was my 5th time shooting in Greece with my friends Araks and Gwen Lu. This time on film. What I love about this assignment is that I have free reigns creatively, My client just sends me the product and I shoot it. A few people lately have told me my work is real. And I agree with this idea. And it's always been an important part of my vision, it's important that nothing feels forced, that there is some humor as well, and that I do not to get too involved. I have a fondness for an honest state of life being presented. Ordinary things being done on a blanket of the ordinary world we live in. We don't have a stylist or a hair and make-up person on location with us. We don't organize anything. We just let the day take us. I love Greece. I want to show a part of this love in my images. The modern way we interact has destroyed so much of this world's innocence and I am humbled by Greece's ability to still shine in still having a place by the sea for everyone - where every one meets - no matter where they are from.
